Just a few close ups from the history of fashion post from a few days ago. The outfit on the left is from a late 15th century manuscript of Philip the Good, the outfit in the middle is from an early-17th century painting of Charles I by Daniel Mytens, and the outfit on the right is from a 1830's fashion magazine. These are all digital paintings.

LOL, they are for real too, though I probably exaggerated a bit. Check these out, probably where 'elf shoes' came from: [link]

They would often wear wooden sole attachments to keep them from getting dirty.
