Intergalactic Troubadour

Another submission to Conceptart.org's Character of the Week competition, an "Intergalactic Bohemian Troubadour". My inspiration for this guy came from a twig I found at a local beach. I envision him to be an erstwhile scholar and a practitioner of the arts, a member of a long-lost plant-based species. Though his main passion is music, he also has a predilection for reading and writing. His musical instrument is part of his being and is carried at all times on his back when he is not entertaining his muse. The sounds that he makes resonates within him and emerges from these tubes that protrude behind him. While predominantly organic, he also incorporates some synthetic parts to help perfect his sound. His partner, a younger version of his species, plays along, creating drum rhythms on his head.
