Another picture inspired by Roger Zelazny's novel, "Lord of Light". Depicted are the "Trimurti", or the three ruling characters in the novel, "Vishnu", "Shiva", and "Brahma". These are NOT representations of the traditional Hindu deities.
Love The Detail On Shiva!!!
He Got The Tilaka And The Swastika
Huge fan of Lord of Light, and I think your artistic interpretations are fantastic.
These are very...Trippy. I think that's a good word.
Thanks, LOL. I definitely wanted a sense of the psychaedelic in there!
Love how rich the colours look. The glossy purple in particular is awesome
There aren't enough badass characters out there in pinks, purples and oranges!
Love the one of the middle !
The androgynous character of Brahma is a nice touch and consistent with the actual reality of the character in the novel! One of my favorites! Well done!
Thanks! I'm glad you caught that detail!
It made for some comic and tragic moments...do you recall the late Jack Kirby being asked to design for this? It was part of the cover story described in the film "Argo" about the operation to rescue American embassy staff who took refuge with the Canadian embassy when the monarchy of Iran was overthrown.
I wish I could have saved the cover magazine they produced for a year to make it and other projects seem legit.
Really impressive! great job!
Wild stuff man.
